Mr. Jackson's Biography
Mr. Jackson attended both Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School and Normandy High School and graduated from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University with a degree in Civil Engineering while also competing as a track team member. Jackson says, “I am passionate about scholarships at Cardinal Ritter because of my own personal experience many years ago as a high school student. At Ritter, I learned so much about my potential as a young man, which I have carried with me. With additional tuition assistance at the time, I would have been able to graduate from CRCP. I don’t want any student at Cardinal Ritter to find themselves in that position. I want as many students to experience Ritter as possible.” Jackson has extensive experience in construction management and event planning. He served as the President of Emerging 100 of 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis until January 2025 and is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. An entrepreneur at heart, he founded Legacy Global Enterprises business consulting firm. His passion for giving back is evident in his involvement as a high school basketball and track coach at CRCP, where he mentors young athletes. For Jackson, coaching is not just a hobby; it’s a personal way of returning to the communities that helped shape him into the leader he is today. He teaches his athletes a simple yet powerful lesson: Your gifts will make a way for you when used with purpose and integrity. Jackson’s philosophy is deeply rooted in the scripture Ecclesiastes 9:10: “Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might.” This mindset drives his commitment to excellence and fuels his desire to create lasting, meaningful relationships throughout the community. Family is the cornerstone of Jackson’s life. He credits both their love and God's guidance as the forces that keep him grounded and focused on his mission.
ADC Acceptance Letter
May 7, 2025
Dear Cardinal Ritter College Prep Family,
It is with immense pride and heartfelt excitement that I announce my appointment as Cardinal Ritter College Prep's new Alumni Development Coordinator. As a proud son of St. Louis and a product of this very community, I find it humbling and deeply meaningful to return home in this capacity. I stand on the shoulders of those who came before me, including Mr. Mike Jones, whose mentorship as a student at Cardinal Ritter helped shape the man I am today. To be passed this torch by someone who has poured so much into this school and its students is an honor I don’t take lightly.
Many of you know me as BJ Jackson, the President of Emerging 100 of 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis, General Manager of the St. Louis Griffins, and CEO of Legacy Global Enterprises. I am also a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where I earned a degree in Civil Engineering while competing on the track team. My time there solidified a life-long commitment to excellence, faith, and community, a commitment I bring into every endeavor.
I’m a firm believer in the principle found in Ecclesiastes 9:10: “Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might.” That scripture is the foundation of both my personal and professional life, and it will guide my work in strengthening the ties between our incredible alumni network and the mission of Cardinal Ritter.
This role is more than a title for me, it's a calling. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Though my leaving Ritter was a sad occasion for me, Mr. Preston Thomas, my school counselor at Normandy, made me feel the love of being at Ritter. As well as my classmates never made me feel like I left, because I was still present for every major game and event. This allowed staff members like Mr. Blackshear, Mrs. Spain, and President Henderson, at the time, to still check in with me on my academics, sports, and scholarship journey. The love of Ritter still surrounded and pushed me. More importantly, the reason I left is the same reason this role means so much to me. It is the opportunity to make sure our scholars get to stay where they are most happy.
That being said, I am excited to engage with each of you, to hear your stories, share your successes, and collaborate on how we can collectively uplift the next generation of Ritter Lions. Together, we will build bridges between the past, present, and future.
In addition to my work with alumni, I’ll be on the front lines coaching girls’ basketball and track & field right here at Ritter. I do so with the words of the late Mr. Henderson etched in my heart: "You can't teach them, if you don't love them." I look forward to leading with love, purpose, and unwavering belief in the potential of every student who walks these halls.
Let’s connect, build, and grow because this is our home, and its future is bright.
With gratitude and purpose,
Brandon “BJ” Jackson
